PRODUCT INFORMATION
The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke/CO) is a next-gen indoor wireless fire and carbon monoxide detector with heat, smoke and CO sensors designed for residential fire safety.
Equipped with a siren (piezoelectric buzzer) for sound notification of alarms and events with a volume of up to 85 dB (at a distance of 3m from the detector).
FireProtect 2 detects smoke with a bispectral optical sensor that allows the detector to determine the size of the volatile particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring vapour and steam.
Two built-in class A1R thermistors notify of alarms when a rapid temperature rise or static temperature is detected in the range of +54°C to +65°C and the smoke chamber is also protected from dust, dirt, and insects.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is colorless, odorless, and otherwise imperceptible without a carbon monoxide detector. FireProtect 2 warns about a dangerous CO concentration at the level of 50 ppm before even the first signs of poisoning occur.
The Ajax automation devices can respond to FireProtect 2 alarms and perform user-defined actions using automation scenarios. For example, the WallSwitch relay can turn off the ventilation system and turn on emergency lighting when an alarm occurs.
The FireProtect 2 detector operates as part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller secure radio protocol but can also be used autonomously without connecting to an Ajax hub. In this case, the detector notifies of fire or smoke with only a built-in siren and LED indication.
Users don’t receive notifications on any Ajax apps, including Ajax Translator, or PRO Desktop. The Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarms feature is also unavailable for this operation mode.
Compatible with Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, Hub Hybrid, ReX and ReX 2 (OS Malevich 2.14.1 and higher).

The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke/CO) detector comes ready to operate straight out the box.
The battery is pre-installed, so there is no need to disassemble the detector.
With one click, it can be connected to the hub in the mobile application. It can be mounted on the SmartBracket in just a few minutes.
